How many times have you been to weddings wondering how people know the bride or groom?  Is that person a childhood friend?  A cousin?  Well, Melangerie, founded by Elana Dweck, solves that problem with her Wedding Genealogy Charts.  And they are oh-so-cool!  Wedding genealogy charts map out how each guest knows or is related to the bride and groom.  No more wondering.

Melangerie offers a few different designs that can be customized to fit with your color palette, so you’re not getting a traditional, very linear “family tree” that our mothers or grandmothers have.  These are really cool and very creative.

Wedding Geneaology Charts_3 For the Wedding Tree design above, each guests’ name is placed on the leaves, while the branches explain the relationship, like “Immediate Family” or “Roommates from college.”  Then the different colored leaves represent whether or not the guest is connected to the bride, the groom, or the couple.  Super cute.

Wedding Geneaology Charts_1Who needs Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, when you can have your own?  This design is really playful.  Not only are symbols placed next to each guest to show the relationship, but the sizes of the circles can also have different meanings.  Your choice.

The Who’s Who is very modern and follows a color spectrum and varying shades. Couples can also get more detailed if they like.   This design showcases family, family friends, friends from certain universities, friends from different cities, and colleagues.  You can be as creative as you want!

Melangerie offers bunch of other services, so check out their Etsy or Supermarket shops.  Photos from Melangerie
