I think phalaenopsis orchids are by far my favorite flower. I’d have them all over my house if I could. They’re just so incredibly gorgeous! I heart them. Plain and simple.

Phalaenopsis orchids could be a flower to incorporate into your wedding design. They’re fairly large, so they can take up some space in those centerpieces or bouquets, but they’re also not a carnation when it comes to price. But, beauty has a price, doesn’t it?

A few facts about phalaenopsis orchids:
- Available colors are white and purple, although sometimes you’ll see a hybrid that blends these two colors so it looks like it has white and purple lines
- They’re grown in warm climates. Think Hawaii and Thailand. [Maybe Fresh LiME Events#mce_temp_url# should go on a field trip to see them grow in person!]
- Orchids come as a stem and there are usually about 10 heads/flowers per stem
Because orchids are grown in warmer climates, think about the time of year you want to use them. If it’s too cold, your centerpieces or bouquets might not look like you expected, but it can be possible with the right precautions.
