Wedding Flowers: Germany’s National Flower

red_oak_leaf_aboutWhile I was trying to research what the German National Flower was, I came across the oak leaf. An oak leaf?  That’s right!  Germany doesn’t actually have a National Flower, but the Oak Leaf represents patriotism.  While this might not seem like the most beautiful addition to your wedding floral design, if you’re having a fall wedding, you could try to incorporate the leaves or other fall foliage in different ways (i.e. use the oak leaves to wrap your bouquet, in your invitations, line your ceremony, and so many more).  If those don’t float your boat, use the oak leaves at inspiration for your color schemes.  You’re bound to have many options!
